Please join the 350Mass Metrowest Node for their monthly meeting on Thursday, March
1 at First Parish Sudbury Unitarian Universalist, 327 Concord Road, Sudbury, MA at
7:00pm.
Rev. Dr. Ian Mevorach will share from his own experience about some of the spiritual,
emotional, and communal support systems, which have sustained his journey as a climate
and social justice activist. We will spend most of our time engaging in experiential
learning through an interactive practice from the Work That Reconnects (WTR), a body
of work developed by Buddhist eco-philosopher Joanna Macy and a community of other
eco-justice activists. Mevorach began studying and practicing the WTR in 2015, and it
has continued to deepen his connection to what Joanna Macy calls "the Great Turning
towards a Life-Sustaining Society.
Rev. Dr. Ian Mevorach holds a M.Div. and a Ph.D. in Ecological Theology and Ethics
from Boston University School of Theology. He is the co-founder and spiritual leader of
the Common Street Spiritual Center in Natick, MA, a love-centered community that
values many spiritual paths and is a hub for environmental justice and peace activism.
