Waking to the Present Moment, a Book Discussion and Walk
When: Sunday, October 19, start at 2:15 pm
Where: Wayland Public Library (5 Concord Road)
Join Rita Zoey Chin, Wayland resident, poet, and author of the bestselling memoir, Let the Tornado Come (Simon & Schuster), for a “Waking to the Present Moment” walk and reflections, on Sunday, October 19, at 2:15 PM, at the Wayland Public Library. Rita will speak about her book and about the moment in nature when her life changed. She will lead us in a quiet, contemplative walk, inviting people to pay attention to the moment, with the idea that, in the words of Mary Oliver, “the world offers itself to your imagination.” Afterward, there will be time to write about what you experienced and an opportunity to share what you’ve written. Rita will answer questions about her memoir, and she’ll conclude with a book signing–so please remember to bring your copy of the book (there will also be a limited number of copies available for sale during the signing)! This event is co-sponsored by the Wayland Public Library and Wayland Walks.
This too is brought to you by Wayland Walks.
